Summer is fun! Nothing says summer like bubbles, so why not throw a bubble party! It could be a kid’s birthday party or for a backyard bubble bash, here are some ideas to get you started. And look below for your fun bubble freebie.
Your invitations should be fun, bright, and have some bubble elements in them. I love this poppin’ invitation idea from Pen n’ Paper Flowers. Mind you they are made for a baby shower but can easily suit a backyard bubble party as well. They would be fairly simple to make, especially with our freebie below. The matching clear lollipops are a beautiful touch also.
Some other innovative ideas for invitations are to send the invitation in an empty bubble bottle, or to wrap it around the bottle and deliver it like that. It will be a fun way to let everyone know what to expect… fun!
There are so many delightful things you can do for the decorations at your bubble party. Here’s what Pen n’ Paper Flowers did to match their invitation.
They used coordinating disposable plastic plates as decorations and made them look like they are floating away like bubbles. Bubble wrap would make a great decoration too, you could use it as a banner, wrap it around things to make them look bubbly, or use it as a tablecloth. I love the idea of using the clear lollipops in everything too.
Anything round that matches your theme could be bubbly looking, get round place mats, cutout your own from cardstock and use as banners or wall decor. Of course clear balloons would work well for this theme.
This bubble party theme can be very versatile too, you can go cute and fun or lovely and elegant, as you can see with these two contrasting party favors. This is a great idea from Belly Feathers that the kid’s will love, give away bubble wand swords with party tags on them. Or for a more elegant favor check out the tin bubble bottles below from Hostess with the Mostess.
One must-have, you must have at your party is a bubble blowing machine, it will set a playful mood as well as keep the kid’s entertained in between activities. Kid’s love to pop bubbles, I swear my kid’s could do it all day! Another fun activity is to have a bubble blowing contest, see who can blow the biggest bubble. Some people fill a small pool with bubble solution and give out huge wands, the bigger the bubbles the better. For more games and activities check out this article by Kim.
