DIY Cupcake Towers

Your gorgeous culinary creations deserve a standing ovation.

Well we mean literally ! And what better way than a do it yourself Cupcake Tower. Leave your guests swooning over your cupcake tower as much as they relish your baked beauties.

Heres what you will need to create this elegant tower:

* Foam Core Boards

* Circle Cutter

* Tin Cans/Bristol Board

* Patterned Paper

* Border Punches

* Glue

* Scissors

* Embellishments

Cut the Foam Core Boards into ascending sizes of any shape you choose to use – circle/square, scalloped, etc., for circles try using the circle cutter to get clean lines and edges. Next, wrap the tin cans with the patterned paper or roll the bristol boards – create columns for the foam core boards to rest on. You can layer these as many as you’d like…just be sure to maintain an approximation of 1:2 ratio so the tower remains steady at the base. The wider the base and the columns – the more stable your set up stays.

With your base work in place – you now just need to adorn your Cupcake Tower with the patterned paper, ribbons and embellishments of your choice. Glue your choice of patterned paper onto the foam and bristol boards. Cut out strips of patterned or solid or textured papers and punch them out using a border punch of your choice. Edge these onto the foam board circles using glue. These can then be topped up with a ribbon of your choice to complete the look.
