Little Lady Bug Party

A little ladybug party is a great summer time party theme for a special little girl.  I found this sweet Lady bug Party Set printables by Aleskma and created a delicious sweets table for a special little girl.

 

 Since the set comes with two invitations, I created one using the flat 5×7 portrait style layout but wanted to use the other one for an envelope!  The little darling ladybugs and cheerful colors really set the tone for this party.

 

 When using printable sets, don’t feel limited to what is made available to you; think outside of the box.  I took the cupcake toppers and enlarged them to print out at 5” and attached them to a wooden stick to create a party pick!  You can create an easy centerpiece the same way by filling a tin container with shredded paper and adding a stick in the center.  Adding a coordinating ribbon to the container or to the party pick adds a simple but delightful detail to the centerpiece. 

 Ladybug parties fall into my favorite category of parties because they’re loaded with polka dots – and this party gal loves polka dots!  I created a really fun polka dot hanging decoration using small white round mailing labels and red paper lanterns.

Something also super fun about lady bug parties is naming all the foods. I used the food labels and typed in the names for the candy displayed on the table.

Wouldn’t you agree that ladybug kisses MUST taste like marshmallows?  I also added red fluffy yarn poms to the tops of the party hats for a festive touch.

You can find the best reasons to use holiday sprinkles to decorate cupcakes – I found these Christmas sprinkles in my cake decorating stash and thought they would look perfect sprinkled over these cupcakes.  They give just enough texture and dimension to the cupcakes without taking anything away from these adorable cupcake toppers.

These favor buckets were handed out and included all ladybug themed items.  You can find items such as these just about anywhere right now -there are plenty of bug-themed season items in great abundance.  I found mine at my local Dollar Tree!  Add a guests name to a blank cupcake topper to create a personalized favor tag!
