What a perfect way to celebrate a milestone birthday than being surrounded by your very close friends and family. This birthday dinner was celebrated at a local favorite Italian restaurant of the birthday gal!
There are some limitations to decorating a party space at sit down restaurant, but with just the right amount of decor, you can create a very simple but elegant adult birthday celebration to be enjoyed by all.
I started out with the guest of honor’s favorite color, red. Then I used a very elegant and chic set of papers, Love Red by Shery K, to create a few party elements. I wanted to make sure that while I kept the party decor light and fun, that I also added a bit of elegance and maturity to the setting….I mean, she is turning 30 after all!
I created simple and chic party hats for the guests to wear – FUN! I also used a small scallop punch to dress up cherry and strawberry flavored cupcakes!
I loved the idea of using an old photo of the birthday girl as a child for the centerpieces for the table. The centerpieces were made with tin buckets as the base filled with peppermint candy kisses and decorated with mini rosettes. The toppers were a photocopied picture of the birthday girl trimmed with fringed crepe paper.
After guests dined on a buffet of Italian cuisine, they were treated to cupcakes and treat bags filled with red candy and Hershey kisses – the birthday girl’s favorite chocolate treat. To dress up the bags I added a simple round favor tag using the same papers again.
I added circle tags to a few of the strings in a bunch of balloons that were spread across the banquet table. This add more personalization to what would normally be just a plain display of balloons.
Here’s the birthday girl all grown up!
