This summer, fight the heat with a fun lemonade stand that you can set up with your kids! I created a fun display to attract neighbors and passersby to purchase a refreshing cup of lemonade and enjoy home baked goodies. I started with the Pink Plush Papers by Cupcake Cuties along with the Fun Frames Clip art set by JW Illustrations and the Summer Fun Images from Lil Ellaboudy to create printables for our stand.
I created a ‘stand’ by taking an inexpensive shelving unit and decorating it with ruffled streamers, yarn poms poms (my daughter’s idea) and cut paper to give the appearance of an awning. We covered the bottom of the shelf with a bit of foam board to disguise the open shelving. This also helped to hide our fresh squeezed lemonade refills we had on the shelves along with a cooler of ice and extra cups, napkins and straws.
For our baked treats, we provided cupcakes, cookies, mini lemon cakes topped with strawberries, and delicious krispy ‘confetti’ treats. I barely got the table set up with these treats when customers started lining up to buy them (and before I could get all my pictures taken). We used a card table covered with a canvas cloth. I placed yellow candy stripe bags in a wire frame flower tin and added a bow. To make things easy for counting, I set the price for everything at the table at .75 cents – what a steal!

If you are looking for a way to beat the heat and give your kids something to do a lemonade stand is a great summer activity that everyone will love. You might want to use the free download of the ‘Lemonade’ banner I created for your own lemonade stand.
HAVE FUN IN THE SUN!
